Los Alamos National Laboratory supports robust student internship programs. Each summer, we host more than 1,800 student and post-graduate interns. We also have a strong and ongoing postdoc program. Undergraduate Student Internship Program
  • The Undergraduate Student Internship Program is a year-round internship program that provides domestic and international students with relevant research experience while they are pursuing an undergraduate degree. It is designed to complement your education with work experience related to your chosen field of study and offers opportunities in both technical and professional fields. Summer Educational Programs and Fellowships
Student Benefits: Whether you’re an entering first-year student, a current undergraduate, or a post-bachelor’s intern, this program opens doors to both technical and professional fields, helping you build skills and connections to support your future career.
Project Duration: Year-round and summer research and work experiences for students in technical and professional fields.

Minimum Requirements: Requirements for an undergraduate internship
  • Must be accepted into an accredited postsecondary institution
  • Must enroll in and receive 12 credit hours per semester
  • Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
