Project description
Our research focuses on developing new imaging methods and molecular therapies for cancer. We use advanced imaging techniques including nuclear and photoacoustic imaging to understand features of cancer. We apply protein and nanotechnology based skills to develop improved therapies for cancer that maximize treatment responses and minimize toxicity.
Student Role: We have open undergraduate positions for a number of projects involving imaging and image analysis, cell and molecular biology and animal modeling techniques. We are looking for motivated students interested in learning cutting-edge techniques in one or more of the research areas stated above.
This is an ideal setting for freshmen and sophomore students looking to gain long-term research experience.
Student Benefits: Basic/translational research experience and skills. Potential to develop skills in advanced imaging and image analysis methods. Potential to expand to other projects and support to apply for scholarships.
Project Duration: 5-10 hours/week, Duration through FY26 but potential to expand to multiple semesters.
