Project Description:

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an underappreciated but important cause of childhood hearing loss. We have a well characterized mouse model of this condition. We are very interested in determining the mechanism underlying CMV mediated hearing loss.



Opportunity Type:

This is a paid research position; This is a work-study research position; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis or Senior Thesis; Earn independent study credit


Student Role:

Will work independently or with our team on this mouse model. You will be responsible for conducting experiments.


Student Benefits:

You will learn to inoculate the mice, measure their hearing and perform immunohistochemistry studies. The goal will be presentations and future publications.


Project Duration:

Duration and time is flexible. If you are good, we will work with your schedule.
