Project Description:

Undergraduate projects (with faculty supervision and mentorship) in sedimentary geology typically emphasize Utah geology and analog to Mars (planetary geology). Project can be tailored to student interests and experience.

Opportunity Type:

Volunteer; Earn independent study credit; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis

Student Role:

Student role may involve both field and analytical studies.

Project Duration:

Project duration is typically 1 year (~10 hrs/week).

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirements are geology major, and preference for minimum completion of earth materials sequence, and concurrent sed/strat. Students should have 3.0 GPA or higher.
