Project Description:

Prof. Tao Gao is hiring undergraduate students who have interests in electrochemistry, renewable energy, batteries, and CO2 capture. Opportunity Type:

Volunteer; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis or Senior Thesis; Earn independent study credit


Student Role:

These projects will be independent research project similar to a graduate student project, in which the undergrad student will own the project, develop a plan and implement it


Student Benefits:

comprehensive research training covering research proposal, literature review, experiment planning and implementation, data analysis, paper writing and publishing


Project Duration:

one semester, could be extended; 10-20 hours per week


Minimum Requirements:

Preferred major: chemistry, material science and chemical engineering. Preferred knowledge: electrochemistry; previous lab experience is preferred.
