Project Description:

Want hands-on research experience in pediatrics? Fluent in Spanish?
We are seeking up to two motivated students to join our study on parent experiences in the care of children with neuromuscular scoliosis.

Opportunity Type:

Volunteer; Prepare a UROP proposal; Earn independent study credit

Student Role:

Approaching, consenting, videotaping, and interviewing patients and parents (in-person and on the phone) from a clinic at Primary Children's Hospital and other affiliate sites

Can work with you to secure funding through UROP in later semesters if interested!

Project Duration:

Ideal candidates will be able to commit to the project for at least one year. We are willing to work with you and your schedule, time commitment 5-10 hours a week.

Minimum Requirements:

Native-level Spanish fluency a must. Must pass fluency test. Experience with qualitative interviews, survey administration, and patient recruitment a plus but not necessary.
