Project Description:

We are testing a new therapy for diabetic foot ulcers on a diabetic animal model. We are comparing the antibacterial and antibiofilm properties of our new drug to those currently being used as the standard treatment for chronic wounds. To accomplish this, we are using an immunocompromised animal to simulate the immune response of diabetic patients in wound healing and bacterial growth.
