Project Description:

Assistance is sought to help with an ongoing project to characterize earth surface processes using various software packages (e.g., ArcGIS, AgiSoft) in conjunction with targeted field work.

Opportunity Type:

Volunteer; Prepare a UROP proposal; Earn independent study credit

Student Role:

Students will work closely with the faculty member on a relatively well-defined field area or specific problem. I will provide the necessary training.

Student Benefits:

Chance to learn new concepts and software packages as well as gain limited field experience.

Project Duration:

The project must take place during the warm period of the year (generally April-November). Exact hours and project duration are open to negotiation.

Minimum Requirements:

An introductory course in geology. More advanced earth science courses are desirable but not mandatory.
