Project Description:

A main thrust of our lab is to integrate data science/machine learning tools into reaction optimization processes. Please contact Sarah Lefave, lab manager, at s.lefave@utah.edu if interested.



Opportunity Type:

This is a paid research position


Student Role:

Project includes rewriting, updating, and combining existing in-house python scripts for data chemistry and cheminformatics.


Student Benefits:

Students will have the opportunity to develop research skills in a collaborative research environment with graduate students, other undergraduates, postdocs, and professors.


Project Duration:

1 semester at 10-20 hours/week


Minimum Requirements:

No prior chemistry knowledge required. Proficient in Python, experience with GitHub, Jupyter notebook, and some knowledge of statistics is preferred.
