Project Description:
This project will develop and validate a novel implantable microelectrode array for brain recording. The technology is novel and is designed to precisely and accurately record the brain neural activities in a large-scale matter and at a single neuron level, which will facilitate functional large-scale brain recording and modulation in human subjects in the future.
Opportunity Type:
IN PERSON - Volunteer; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis or Senior Thesis
Student Role:
Under supervision of the professor and working with graduate students, you will design the electrode array, conduct charaterization and optimization.
Student Benefits:
learn skills and knowledge of brain machine interfaces as well as get research experiences
Project Duration:
This is a one-year project, the estimated time effort will be discussed based on the student's availability and motivation
Minimum Requirements:
Self-motivated, lab work experience is a plus
