Project Description:
We will be researching George M. Cohan and his musicals within their historical and cultural context.
Opportunity Type:
Volunteer; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis or Senior Thesis
Student Role:
Work may involve data collection, data organization, reception history (using digitized historical newspapers, etc.) and other forms of research and analysis.
Student Benefits:
Experience with multiple types of interdisciplinary humanities/arts research. Ideally, the research will provide the basis for a UROP project, capstone project, thesis, etc.
Project Duration:
Several hours per week, with some flexibility in duration and hours.
Minimum Requirements:
Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ideal for student of music, theater, ethnic or gender studies, business, or history.
