The Weller Lab in the School of Dentistry is looking for highly motivated students interested in studying autoimmune diseases and gaining laboratory research experience. Our research focuses on viral-mediated triggers in the development of a chronic autoimmune disease called Sjögren’s syndrome. Projects in the lab utilize viral-genome sequencing, microarray, bioinformatics, molecular biology and cell culture to define the underlying mechanism(s) of autoimmunity.
