Adam Douglass

Title: Associate Professor
College: Medicine
School / Department: Neurobiology & Anatomy
Mentoring Philosophy:

Dr. Douglass will meet 1:1 with the student each week to discuss their progress and guide their research. Additionally, he maintains an open-door policy and will be available for informal discussions throughout the the summer. On a daily basis, the student will work directly with a laboratory member (grad student or postdoc) who will serve as their primary mentor, providing training and oversight as needed. The student will also participate in the lab's weekly group meetings, where they will learn about ongoing research in the Douglass lab, and will be encouraged to attend departmental seminars and other neuroscience-related talks. At the end of the summer, the student will prepare and present a lab meeting talk to highlight their accomplishments and receive feedback from the rest of the group.
