I believe that all students are inherently capable of high quality research, and that a supportive environment is all that is needed to reach this goal. The mentorship model I follow involves maintaining consistent communication with student scholars, exposing them to new research ideas and methods through broad education, encouraging entrepreneurship in terms of grant-seeking and conference attendance, and encouraging peer interaction with other student scholars.
