Artist’s Statement: As technology increases and society starts to rely on it more, people believe unreliable things that become myths which then influence some lives without realizing it. People today rely on technology to do many things for them whether it’s getting an education, looking things up on the internet, using social media, etc. Most people believe the myths they hear about, such as people dying from donating kidneys, which is not true, but things like this affects people’s health. Once people hear it, it is hard to tell them the correct information and for them to believe it, but it is said that people who are more challenged are less likely to believe myths. This could be a possible way to end myths, but if not everyone is challenged they will still be spread around. Myths start from a misunderstanding of something that someone does, they then usually get put on the internet where everyone can see and it is spread quickly from that. With technology growing and people relying on it more they will eventually not know how to do things on one’s own. It will affect education, relationships, peoples health, and many more things that people do not think about. Myths may be very hard or maybe impossible to get rid of and will make it difficult to tell everyone the truth.
