Faculty mentor: Jennifer Seagrave
Ever since I was a child I had a vendetta against country music, with the small exception of Taylor Swift. I was not a fan of how the genre seemed male dominated and that the main themes of their songs were girls in skimpy clothes, beer, and farming. However, in my last couple years of high school, I discovered some country artists that sang about things I cared about. I quickly realized that I had judged a whole genre of music without giving it a fair shot because I had made an assumption.
