Pancreatic cancer originates from acinar cells in the pancreas that undergo de-differentiation and lose expression of important acinar transcription factor Ptf1a. We are interested in learning how Ptf1a normally promotes acinar cell identity, and how it works with other acinar transcription factors to do so.
