Extreme heat causes more deaths than all other extreme weather events combined in the US and is a leading cause of weather-related mortality worldwide.This study addresses the intersection of racial/ethnic and older age statuses in exposure to neighborhood-level extreme heat across Maricopa County, Arizona. We applied geospatial, remote sensing, and statistical analysis techniques to address these disparities.
