I decided to do my Symposium Art Project on Afrofuturism. I chose this topic because, from my understanding, it’s a symbol of hope. It’s the little piece of light shining so bright despite all the darkness around it. My piece of art highlights the history and the present of African/Americans, but it mainly focuses on the possibility of the future with the power of technology and art. But overall, it centers hope.
