The objective of my project is test the effects of Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), an agent that
decreases inflammation in the brain, on lesion volume and astrogliosis in a model of pediatric traumatic brain injury (pTBI) using male rat pups. We hypothesize that DHA will decrease astrogliosis and lesion volume in male rats at 60 days after controlled cortical impact (CCI) at day 17 of life.
