This project’s goal is to create or improve an existing material to be used in high-temperature castable ceramic insulation to be used in aerospace applications. We have been trying to mimic the properties of a known material (Mboard) with the caveat that our material must be castable (be able to pour into a mold) to accommodate for the complex geometry.
