The Hispanic/Latino population comprises 18% of the total US population but contributes to 28.4% of all Covid cases with a death rate of 34.3%. The Hispanic community is more susceptible due to the unmet social determinants of health caused by systemic racism. And the disproportionate impact shows in more aspects, not only the overrepresented morbidity & mortality rates. It can lead to worse hospitalization experience, life expectancy cut, multidimensional effects, and vaccine hesitancy.
