Faculty mentor: Nora Wood

We have conducted research to understand why COVID-19 has severely affected nursing homes more than other populations in the United States. Due to staff shortages, lack of PPE, and a vulnerable population, COVID-19 has been able to spread much faster in these facilities. We must better the conditions of these facilities for daily life and in the case of another pandemic. Nursing homes must better prepare themselves and work to solidify health standards before another global virus arises.
