Faculty mentor: CoCo James

For my project I wanted to research healthy ways to dismiss racist thoughts while also creating coping mechanisms for students and people from different ethnic backgrounds. What I found was: there are physiological and cognitive aspects that go into solving the problem of racist beliefs towards others and towards oneself. We can use these findings to eventually get rid of discrimination, while creating institutions like Compassion Meditation for people who have experienced race related stress.
