Transcranial Magnetic Resonance-guided focused ultrasound (tcMRgFUS) is an FDA approved method for treating essential tremor and Parkinson’s tremor. This treatment uses phase aberration correction to focus the ultrasound beams to improve focal spot amplitude and shape in the thalamus. By simulating different phase correction methods and comparing them to treatment images, we found that we were able to match clinical heating and replicate treatments.
