Working with a local Salt Lake City company, this research aims to modify a commercially available ceramic material in order to meet design specifications to protect and insulate an oxygen generator. The research compares the impact of different additives on the resulting ceramic material. It is found that the effects of non-compositional additives are localized to the intrinsic properties of the base material.
