Oral #8: Taos Transue – The AHJ Registry: Gamifying Governance

The AHJ Registry is a website and REST API that aims to help the United States reach the goal of zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 by helping to standardize permit requirements and regulations for of Authorities Having Jurisdiction of solar across the country. By incorporating a GitHub-like governance model for its data, and adding gamification around recognizing data contributors, it hopes to be adopted by local governments as the new way to distribute permitting requirement information.
