My research looks at whether the swing justice (the justice at the ideological center of a 5-4 Supreme Court decision) makes their determination based solely on their personal ideology or if there are factors such as the specific case circumstances that would affect their vote. I also look at what those circumstances would be and determine if it is then possible to predict the votes of certain justices based on that information.
