In the summer of 2020 there was a collective uproar of protests, riots, and marches associated with the ongoing police brutality experienced by African American communities and communities of color. During this time of political tension, a global pandemic, and police violence, why were Pacific Islanders involved in a March and Die-in? How were Pacific Islanders standing in solidarity with oppressed communities here in the diaspora?
