My thesis for this research project is, “Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, government mandates enforcing strict quarantine protocols have significantly altered the bereavement process due to the discouragement of family gatherings, inability to find comfort in family and friends, and prevention of postmortem rituals that loved ones use to memorialize the loss of life.
